The difference between art and web design
Web designers are usually thought of as artists and that’s correct. The problems occur when the designer is nothing more than an artist. So what’s the difference between the two? Well, whereas an artist is capable of creating an outstanding “face” for your online presence, a true web designer understands that your website is, first and foremost, a business asset. Adobe celebrates the rise of the new creative with a Creative Jam. The best designers in the UK will gather in London on March 27th to compete against each other. The contestants will be given a particular theme and two hours during the ‘Create Now – New Creative Meet Up’ to create an original piece (graphic or motion, depending on the specialisation).
Facebook started rolling out their redesign of the news feed. Even though this was announced a year ago, changes are more subtle than the users were expecting. The new design emphasises the images and there are also new fonts.
Reaching a 404 page is not very enjoyable, but this doesn’t mean you have reached the end of the internet, as some websites like to call it. In fact, this overlooked page has so much unexploited potential.
So what is a 404 page?
The 404 error code is a standard HTTP response that indicates a communication between the client and the server was possible, but the requested page was not found. This error usually follows dead or broken links.
